Oh, McBee, I do declare. You’ve been making me all blushy lately. Please, do feel free to continue. 
Jo, I’m not sure what the model number is on the Salter; I just know it as “the one in the King Arthur Flour catalogue.” It switches very easily from ounces to grams, it has a tare function, it’s small and light, and best of all, it weighs up to 11 pounds. (My old scale, a Pelouze springload I bought about 10 years ago, only measures up to 2 pounds, which is a pain in the ass for large-scale baking.)
Now, ‘mouse, I never would have called myself a simple tool if I’d ever thought you’d agree with me.
