Dear friends,
Immediately after I finished writing that last post, and hit the “publish” button, Julie and G’s internet connectivity went down.
It’s back on, as are all the appliances that died 1/2 hour ago, and everything seems to be running smoothly. Nevertheless, I would like to apologize to a) Julie and G for breaking their apartment, b) Lloyd and Time-Warner Cable for breaking our modem, c) he residents of Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Sunnyside for knocking out the power for eight days, and d) the entire City of New York for causing three city-wide blackouts, one of which occurred before I was born. (You heard me. Yes, my powers of destruction are that vast.)
All kidding aside: to Barb, frykitty and the rest of the hardworking Blogathon team: can we safely assume that if for some reason the power and/or internet connectivity go down again, and I disappear for the last-ever post of Blogathon 2006, that is not to say that I am unable to fulfill my duties as a charity blogger, and thus my position on the webring is safe?
